Dixie Stampede Celebrates 25 Years

If you’ve been wanting to try The Dixie Stampede in Pigeon Forge, this is a good year to do it. That’s because Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede is celebrating its 25th year with giveaways.

The giveaways sound pretty spectacular. According to The Wall Street Journal, the 25th, 250th, 2,500th, and 25,000th guests will be recognized throughout 2012 will special prizes and celebrations. A grand prize giveaway will be planned for the 250,000th guest. What are the prizes? Good question — The Dixie Stampede has been pretty mum about it!

But hopefully, it’s something decent. Like I said, if you’re gonna go see it, this is a good time to go!

The Dixie Stampede has billed itself, “The most fun place to eat in the Smokies!” It’s dinner and a show in one, and it’s filled with North and South competition, along with horse riding stunts, special effects, and lots of music.

Can you get the Dixie Stampede’s website to work? I can go to it, but I’ve tried for a couple months to get to the “order tickets” screen and it will not work. Is it me? Can you see it on your computer?
