Walk the Rocky Top Wine Trail for a Good Cause

Hillside Winery is partnering with Apple Barn Winery and Mountain Valley Winery to Stomp Out Breast Cancer.

Several Sevier County wineries are partnering up to raise funds for breast cancer. And it sounds like a pretty great event. Here’s the scoop:

  • What: Stomp Out Breast Cancer — Walk the Rocky Top Wine Trail to help raise awareness and money for continued research by the American Cancer Society to find a cure.
  • When: Saturday, Oct. 6, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Where: Starting at Hillside Winery, attendees will walk to Apple Barn Winery, then to Mountain Valley Winery, then back to Hillside Winery
  • Events:At each winery, there will be events. Here they are:
    • Apple Barn Winery: Bobbing for apples, apple doughnuts and apple cider, tasting of “Pink” wine
    • Mountain Valley Winery: Grape stomping to your favorite oldies, muffins and “pink” appetizers, tasting of “Pink” wine
    • Hillside Winery: Lunch provided by Corky’s Restaurant (BBQ), country bands, door prizes, tasting of MORE “Pink” wine, free gifts, wine production tours
  • Cost: To participate in the whole event is $20. For just lunch, it’s $15. (This is only if you register before the event here. Day of, cost goes up $5.)
  • Included in cost: Pink logoed cinch backpack, bottle of water, Rocky Top Wine Trail passport, events, and lunch
  • Mission: To support research in finding a cure and honor those who fight this disease and to “team up” and raise $15,000 dollars to donate to the American Cancer Society (and to have a Stomp’n Good Time!).
