5 Smoky-Mountain-Area Pumpkin Patches

Oh yes, I sure do love a good pumpkin patch! I love drinking apple cider. I love climbing on hay bales. I love bumpy hayrides and scarecrows and picking the perfect pumpkin out of a patch.

Here are five pumpkin patches to visit on your Smoky Mountain vacation. What better way to celebrate fall?

1. Oakes Farm

  • Where it is: 8240 Corryton Road, Corryton, TN
  • What it costs: Ages 11 and up — $10; kids 3-10 — $8; under 3 — free
  • What that includes: Giant corn maze, slide, bouncing pillow, hayride, kids’ corn maze, pedal karts, sand play area
  • Can also buy: Pumpkins, snacks, fall decorations
  • Time from Gatlinburg: About an hour and 15 minutes

2. Kyker Farms

  • Where it is: 938 Alder Branch Road, Sevierville, TN
  • What it costs: Ages 6 and up — $12; kids 3-5 — $7; under 3 — free
  • What that includes: One pumpkin! Also corn mazes — 5 different ones, hayrides, tunnel slides, straw crawl, corn tub, swings, corn hole, bonfires, kritter barn, corn cob swing, farm facts maze, bouncing pillow
  • Can also buy: Concessions, Haunted Trail tickets ($11 per person)
  • Time from Gatlinburg: About 30 minutes

3. Life Down on the Farm

  • Where it is: 1331 West Beaver Creek Drive, Powell, TN
  • What it costs: Ages 3 and up — $11; under 3 — free
  • What that includes: Corn mazes, hayride, critter corner, playground, jump pillow, cow train ride
  • Can also buy: Pumpkins (for $5); fire pit for group gathering on the creek ($1 per person with admission)
  • Time from Gatlinburg: About an hour

4. Maple Lane Farms

  • Where it is: 1040 Maple Lane, Greenback, TN
  • What it costs: Ages 12 and over — $10; ages 6-11 — $8; under 6 — free
  • What that includes: Corn maze, pumpkin patch, hayrides, rock wall, other kids’ activities
  • Can also buy: Things at a country store, tickets to the haunted corn maze ($13 for all ages)

5. Myers Farm

  • What it costs: $10 per person
  • What that includes: 3 corn mazes
  • Can also buy: Fall plants and decorations, honey

    There is another corn maze and pumpkin patch place that opened up in Sevier County this year. It is the Pigeon Forge Corn Maze off Waldens Creek Road. I have driven by it a few times this season, but haven’t stopped by. It looks nice though! http://pigeonforgecornmaze.com/
