Planning to be in the Smoky Mountain area for Thanksgiving? It’s a popular time for families to pile up in a cozy mountain cabin and celebrate the holidays together.
For some people, it’s the perfect time to join together and make a scrumptious Thanksgiving dinner together. (Or maybe they want to make an entire Thanksgiving dinner over a campfire!) Others don’t want the mess of a big dinner in a small-kitchen cabin with limited dishes.
There’s a perfect answer for these people! Head to The Partridge and the Pear in Pigeon Forge for a real deal, complete Thanksgiving dinner. Yum. I’m definitely going to try this some day.
My friend, Janet, is the blogger for The Christmas Place (if you don’t know, it’s a great area in Pigeon Forge. There’s the gorgeous Christmas Inn and The Incredible Christmas Place store, which is SO fun to walk through. And there’s the restaurant — The Partridge and the Pear). She recently wrote about Thanksgiving at The Partridge and the Pear. And get this: She actually got to SAMPLE the food! Amazing! I never get asked to sample Thanksgiving dinners for this blog. Maybe that should change (hint, hint, Janet!).
Here’s what Janet thought:
“Wow! I just love our turkey and dressing, the mashed potatoes, the sweet potato casserole, the green beans, the icing. Yum, yum, yum.”
So, yes, The Partridge and the Pear is serving a traditional, real Thanksgiving dinner. On Thanksgiving, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Very flexible!
I know what you’re thinking: how much does it cost? Well, it’s not cheap. Adults are $24.99 and kids are $11.99. Which is atrocious, though my kids eat enough that it’s probably worth it.
Here’s the menu:
- Entree: Oven roasted turkey and gravy, glazed ham, pork tenderloin, roast beef or prime rib (there’s an up charge for this)
- Sides: Tomato & basil soup, corn, mashed potatoes & gravy, sweet potato casserole, green beans, cranberry relish, and fresh baked cranberry-orange bread (you get them ALL!)
- Beverage: A “traditional” beverage
- Dessert: Pumpkin pie or pecan pie
Reservations are suggested, and are being taken now at 800-917-4263.
Yay, turkey! I’m ready!
