LeConte Center in Pigeon Forge is now open and has booked an exciting new event: a gymnastics competition. The competition, Make it Count Gymnastics Classic, will take place from February 14-16 and will bring 600-800 gymnasts and their families to the area.
As The Mountain Press said in a recent article, “The LeConte Center aims to help Pigoen Forge join Gatlinburg and Sevierville in attracting conventions and events…”
It’s already working.
The LeConte Center’s first event will be an International Gift Exposition in the Smokies/Souvenir Super Show in November.
The LeConte Center is a 232,000-square-foot facility, located right off the Pigeon Forge Greenway. The decor is reminiscent of a Smoky Mountain Lodge, and the facility is set against Mt. LeConte itself.
